Privacy Policy

Who we are

This website is operated by Phone Tracker (ABN available on request), PO Box R81, Royal Exchange NSW 1225, Australia. Contact: the form on our contact page, phone 1300 776 873.

We are committed to handling your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy covers both our website and the monitoring software account we provide once you become a customer.

What we collect on this website

When you use our contact form or callback / quote request form, we collect the name, email, phone number, and message you provide.

We also automatically collect:

  • Referral and campaign data: the page you arrived from and any campaign parameters attached to your visit, recorded against your enquiry.
  • Approximate location: a city and country level location derived from your IP address, recorded against your enquiry for lead attribution.
  • Analytics data: through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, which use cookies and collect device and usage information. Google’s own privacy policy applies to this data (see “Third parties” below).
  • Spam-check signals: Google reCAPTCHA v3 runs on our forms to filter automated submissions. It sets its own cookies and collects device signals under Google’s privacy policy and terms of service.

We do not knowingly collect health, financial, or other sensitive information through the website itself.

How we store website enquiries

Form submissions are stored in a secure Cloudflare D1 database and emailed to our team through SendGrid. The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a global edge network, so your enquiry may be processed on infrastructure outside Australia operated by Cloudflare, Google, and SendGrid, each of which is contractually bound to protect data it processes on our behalf.

Metadata about spam and suspicious submissions (not the content of your message) is reported to our internal monitoring system, NitroShield, so we can keep the forms working properly for genuine enquiries.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the quote or information you requested.
  • To understand which pages and campaigns bring us genuine enquiries.
  • To protect our forms from spam and abuse.
  • To improve the site, in aggregate, never tied back to an individual for marketing purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Your monitoring software account

If you purchase a licence for our phone monitoring and GPS tracking software, a separate account is created for you on our monitoring platform. That account stores the data captured from the device you have set up for monitoring: depending on your plan, this may include location history, call logs, message content, and app activity.

  • This data belongs to you. We do not use it for any purpose other than providing the service to you and, where you ask us to, helping you with support.
  • Our support team, including our licensed private investigators, only accesses your account data with your permission, to help set up the software or resolve a support issue.
  • We retain this data for the length of your 12 month licence plus 30 days, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
  • Payments are made by card or bank deposit. We do not store full card numbers; card payments are processed by our payment provider, who holds that information under its own security standards.

Your responsibility when using our software

Our software is sold only for lawful monitoring of a device you own or are legally responsible for. Because you control what is monitored and why, you are responsible for the personal information collected through the software once it is installed, including making sure you have the right to collect it (see our Terms of Service for the full conditions of use).

Third parties

We rely on the following providers, each of which processes some of your information under its own privacy policy:

  • Cloudflare (hosting, forms database, security): cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
  • SendGrid (sending enquiry emails): twilio.com/legal/privacy
  • Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, reCAPTCHA): policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/terms

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you can ask us to:

  • Give you access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct any personal information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete personal information we no longer need to hold.

To make a request, email the form on our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time.

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Notifiable data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the OAIC in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Cookies

Our website sets cookies through Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Google reCAPTCHA v3, as described above. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended without them.

Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
